Tavolara and the marine protected area

Not far from the Sardinia's north-east coast, the Tavolara's islands, Molara and Molarotto are the outstanding elements of this marine protected area. Unique in the Mediterranean for the environment exceptionally diversified, rich in colors and shades ranging from the blue sea to the Mediterranean's plants' deep green.

The Tavolara's Marine Protected Area Tavolara stretches from Capo Ceraso, and with a succession of bays, beaches, coves and headlands, comes up to Capo Coda Cavallo.
Among Molara and Tavolara worth visiting Li Pischini, natural pools with white sand defined as one of the most beautiful ecosystems in shallow waters in the world. Cala Spagnola and Cala di Chiesa are, finally, the Molara's beaches .

Island's guest, with considerable success, it is for a few years the film festival which takes place from 16 to 21 July 2013.

The Tavolara Island is accessible by ferry from the  Porto San Paolo's tourist harbor, the crossing takes about 20 minutes.
